Pawnee The Greatest Town in America Book

Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America, by Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation is one of my favourite TV sitcoms, which I rate by how much they make me laugh out loud. The town officials and residents of Pawnee, Indiana never fail to entertain just by being who they are. Fans of the show’s satirical goofiness will love Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America as “written, compiled, researched, typed, collated, proofread, and run through spell check” by Leslie Knope, Deputy Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation (played flawlessly by Amy Poehler).

As Pawnee’s most dedicated and loyal citizen, Leslie is the obvious choice to author this comprehensive guide to the town whose slogan is “First in Friendship, Fourth in Obesity”. You’ll be tickled to recognize priceless moments from past episodes, and your inner Parks and Rec geek will eat up 240 pages of in-depth trivia faster than a double stack of JJ’s Diner waffles. Hilarious contributions from Ron, Ann, April, Andy, Donna, Gerry, Ben, Chris – literally everyone, as Chris would say – are peppered throughout. If you were not satisfied with a mere TV glimpse of The Swanson Pyramid of Greatness, make Ron proud and see the whole thing when you get this book!

Book The Hunger Games Tribute Guide

Do you wish the first Hunger Games movie had been longer? As a true fan, you probably wanted more footage, more scenes revealing the world of Panem, more build-up to the 74th annual Hunger Games. Twelve districts, 24 tributes…that’s a lot of personalities and backstories, easy to miss when trying to keep up with the action. It’s like getting a guided tour, with plenty of still photos from the movie. Get a close-up look at the terrifying Careers – Glimmer, Marvel, Clove, Cato – and other tributes like Rue, Thresh, and Foxface.
